December Charity Campaign: £5 Donated to Unity MK for Every Sofa, Armchair or Mattress We Collect.

This December, Everett’s House Clearance is proud to launch a special community-focused campaign supporting Unity MK, the homelessness charity working tirelessly to provide emergency accommodation and vital support across Milton Keynes.

Throughout the whole month, we will donate £5 to Unity MK for every mattress, sofa or armchair we collect as part of our house clearance and bulky waste removal services.

Winter is an incredibly tough time for people facing homelessness, and Unity MK’s work becomes even more critical. By turning everyday collections into meaningful contributions, we hope to give back to the community.

Why We’re Supporting Unity MK This December

Unity MK provides safe accommodation, essential resources and long-term support pathways for people in crisis. Their volunteers and staff work round the clock, offering warmth, safety and hope to individuals who often have nowhere else to turn.

As a local business rooted in Milton Keynes, we see the need first-hand. Founder Matt Grimwood explains:

“Unity MK does extraordinary work, especially during winter when demand spikes. We’re out collecting bulky items every day, so turning those collections into support for vulnerable people was the natural thing to do.”

How the Campaign Works

It’s simple:

• For every sofa, armchair, or mattress we collect between 1–31 December, we donate £5 to Unity MK.

• Eligible items include all sofa types (recliners, corner sofas, sofa beds), single and double armchairs, and all mattress sizes.

• At the end of the campaign, we’ll publish the total amount raised on our website and social media.
